Hip hip hooray it's Friday!

I've been playing around with my fish eye lomography camera and some of my favorite photos are of my doggies. They're just so cute and photogenic!

This last photo is a random dog I couldn't resist petting..and quickly snapping a photo of!

Foto Friday- Disney Fun!

I love playing around with lomography cameras and my most recent purchase was the fish eye. I love it! I love how the photos come out and it's always a fun surprise to see what kind of images I captured. I also find it kinda fun to drop off my film and have to wait for it to get processed and developed. It's fun suspense!

Plus, it forces me to get my photos developed, which was actually my new years resolution. It's just so easy to take photos and keep them filed on your computer but I really want to take the time to print them out  and put them in an album. It makes it much more fun to look at and this way, we'll have something that we and our kids (and grandkids..and great-grandkids) can look back at.

These photos were taken at Disneyland and came off my first roll of film with this camera. I can't wait to start taking some more!

This last photo is my favorite- it's tradition that we get ice cream here at the end of our Disneyland day! I also love how you can see Tad's reflection of him taking the photo

Foto Friday- Anthro Inspired

Hello everyone and happy Friday!! I have something special to share with you starting next week- photos from an Anthropologie inspired photo shoot by the talented and sweet Kristine Ko! Kristine has a passion for photography and such a creative eye. She's a graphic designer but has always dreamed of being a photographer. Then one day she just decided to stop dreaming and to just do it! So ever since then, she's been focused on learning, improving, and experimenting with photography and now she gets to live her dream. She's my role model :)

We started by going through my closet, shoes, and accessories to put together a few different looks. Kristine has a great sense of fashion and I completely trusted her vision. In the end, she put together 4 outfits from head to toe, all of which I really love and will wear again and again! I also got to bring along some of my vintage suitcases and cameras, plus a vintage chair that I picked up at a flea market.

A couple weeks later I met with Kristine to do our photo shoot and it was so much fun! She had a couple locations in mind but a few didn't work out (one was closed, the other blocked off) but Kristine had a few more places up her sleeve and we ended up at really great locations.

Foto Friday

Friday already? Hooray for short work weeks! 

I've gotten into the habit of taking my camera everywhere with me and lately, I've been carrying my Canon AE-1 film camera around (read previous post here). Here are some photos I really like from happy hour at Aburiya Toranoko in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. I love the grainy texture of the photos and even though the pictures aren't totally in focus, I kinda like how they turned out.

Do you use a film camera? Or do you prefer using a digital camera? I must admit, it's a lot easier for me to learn photography skills using a digital camera because I can take a bunch of photos and get instant feedback....but I really love film too.

Yay it's Friday!!! Finally! This has been a long week, with jury duty and all :) One thing I want to do this weekend is to go to Disneyland- I love that place!

Happy Friday lovely people! Isn't this photo awesome? My friend Kathy took it while we were having a fun shopping day at the Santa Monica Promenade. Our whole day consisted of phrases like "that's so cute!" "Buy it!" then "Yayyyyyyy!" (in case you're wondering, that's a nordstrom bag and an Aldo bag- both shoes).
