Life's a Beach

Last weekend I got to spend a couple hours by myself in Laguna Hills, which I really enjoyed. Tad was interviewing for a fellowship position at a nearby hospital so I offered to drive him there and wait for him. In a little over a year, his residency training (5 years total after 4 years of medical school) will be coming to an end! Hooray! But even after 4 years of medical school and 5 years of residency training, he still has a yearlong fellowship to do. Sheesh, that's like a specialist with a specialty with a subspecialty. I'm one proud wifey!

After dropping Tad off at his interview, I headed towards the beach. The morning started off ugly and gloomy when I first started taking photographs but by the time I was done, the sun was shining. Hello world! Laguna has beautiful beaches and it was so nice to just bask in the sunlight while looking out at the ocean. I watched some paddleboarders go by, saw a pod of dolphins, and even glimpsed a few water spouts from whales! It was a lovely morning.

Outfit Details:
Vintage dress- thrifted
Jacket- Nordstrom (a long while back)
Tights- H&M
Shoes- Nordstrom
Bag- Anthropologie

I was feeling a little tired and sluggish when I got to the beach but after a beautiful, calming morning to myself, I felt much more energized. There's nothing like the feel of the ocean breeze on your face and the smell of salt water to awaken your soul.

Congrats to your hubby and wish him good luck! What specialty is he going into? Laguna Beach is soooo nice! I'll go walking over there sometimes, it's just so nice to go out and see the ocean, feel the breeze. But I've never seen the whale spouts! I think I must try to go there today or tomorrow to catch a glimpse! Love the stripey dress and yellow tights!

Oh how I wish I were close to a beach! Looks divine. I didn't know your hubs was in medicine. My man finished residency in Anesthesia 2 years ago. we did the military route, so after 2 MORE years of payback, then he's planning on a fellowship too. So I get it. Best of luck to you both in the completion of his training. You are such a darling couple.
