Bonjour!


Hello! I've been an excited gal all week. Why? Well, because Tad and I are going on vacation next week! We're going to London and Paris and I am soooooo excited. I can't wait to see London but I'm especially looking forward to Paris. I've been wanting to travel to Paris for as long as I can remember!

One of the things I'm really looking forward to is eating all the pastries..croissants, crepes, and especially macarons. Tad and I are even taking a macaron making class!

So I thought I'd get a head start on French treats and baked madeleine cookies for the first time. I used this recipe, which is actually from Bon Appetit Magazine, and it came out delicious. Not only are these so yummy but they are way easy to make. In fact, these take so little time to make that I've already made them three times! 


In preparation for Paris, not only have I learned bit of french, mainly greetings and such, but I've even prepped myself for eating French food- today I tried escargot for the first time. It was actually delicious! I can already picture myself eating at one of the sidewalk cafes...eeekkk, so excited!
